Privacy Policy & Terms of Analysis

Last Updated: December 2025

1. Introduction

Acuity Narrative Integrity Engine ("Acuity," "A.N.I.E.," "we," "us," or "our") is a forensic analysis tool designed to evaluate public web content. By installing or using the Acuity Chrome Extension, Mobile Application, or Web Scanner, you ("User") agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

To function, Acuity collects specific data points. We categorize these strictly:

A. Voluntarily Submitted Content (The "Scan")

When you explicitly click the "Scan" function, you grant us permission to access, process, and store the URL and text content of the active browser tab or input. This is not background collection; it is "on-demand" data submission.

B. Technical & Device Data

We collect your IP address, browser type, and a randomly generated anonymous Installation ID ("Ghost ID"). This is used solely for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.

C. Analysis Data

We generate and store proprietary metadata derived from your Scans, including but not limited to: Forensic Scores, Rhetorical Vector Analysis, and verification logs ("Analysis Data").

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, or rent your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to third parties. However, to provide the service, data must be processed by trusted infrastructure providers:

5. Data Retention

We retain Analysis Data (URLs and Scores) indefinitely to maintain our global integrity cache. We do not retain granular browsing history. We only retain the specific URLs you chose to scan.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties (AI Limitations)

The Acuity Integrity Score is generated by Artificial Intelligence. It is a probabilistic assessment, not a statement of fact.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Acuity and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the tool. You agree that you cannot sue or hold us liable for any decisions you make based on an Acuity Integrity Score. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to use the Service.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to use Acuity to reverse-engineer our proprietary scoring algorithms or to use the API for unauthorized high-volume scraping.

9. Updates

We may update this policy at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
